Saumur 'L'Insolite'

Subtle with fresh, fruity and floral aromas. Hints of pear, peach, lemon, grapefruit and verbena on the nose. Velvety and sensual on the palate with ginger coming through, showcasing a great terroir. Beautifully complex. The estate is run strictly along biodynamic lines, harvesting is manual and yields are low. Vinification is carried out only in small batches and the wines are neither filtered not fined. l'Insolite' is 100% Chenin Blanc from 85-year old vines situated on clay-limestone. Hand-harvested grapes, gentle pressing, fermentation in Austrian tuns, discreet aging, 9 months on fine lees in underground cellar. ABV 12.5%
