Pont de Gassac

This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (76%), Tannat (5%), Merlot (4%), Pinot Noir (3%), Petit Verdot (3%), Syrah (3%), Cabernet Franc (2%), and 4% rare varieties including Nielluccio, Montepulciano, Saperavi, Carménère, Tempranillo, and Abouriou. It showcases crisp fruit and tannins in its youth, evolving to velvety tannins and complex flavors over time, with the potential to develop tertiary aromas like dried roses, woodland moss, truffles, and game after twenty-one years. The 2022 vintage benefited from a cold winter, warm and dry spring, and a storm in August that enhanced phenolic ripeness and freshness. The wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels and has an ABV of 13.5%.
