Austria is renowned for its production of white wines, particularly Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Grüner Veltliner, the country's flagship grape, thrives in Austria's cool climate and rocky soils, producing wines with vibrant acidity and flavours of green apple, white pepper, and citrus. Riesling, on the other hand, excels in the country's steep vineyards, yielding wines with intense aromatics and a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.
