Pauillac

The 2014 Les Forts de Latour is a Bordeaux red wine blend consisting of 71.4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28.6% Merlot. It has a deep garnet-purple color and a complex aroma profile that opens up with blackcurrant pastilles, baked plums, boysenberries, and hints of wood smoke, earth, cast-iron pan, and charcuterie. There is also a subtle presence of black truffles. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with lively black fruit flavors, balanced acidity, and firm, grainy tannins. The finish is long and carries a distinct ferrous note. The grapes for this wine are grown in Bordeaux, where the vines benefit from optimal conditions, including limestone and gravel soils. After harvest, the grapes undergo careful sorting and gentle pressing in the cellar. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures, followed by a period of ageing. ABV 13%
