The wine exhibits a pale green-gold hue, adorned with shimmering golden and silver reflections. Its nose is complex and dense, showcasing dominant mineral notes of chalk and flintstone, accompanied by noble herbal nuances of aniseed and gentian. On the palate, the wine exudes a warm and powerful character, unveiling flavors of aniseed, fresh bread, and sweet spices. The finish is marked by a strong sapidity, imparting an "almost" tannic sensation.Made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated on a 0.22-hectare plot, the vineyard is situated on the hill where the renowned Grands Crus of Corton are found. Facing due east and overlooking the village of Ladoix-Serrigny, the vineyard extends up to the forest's edge. It is characterized by its steepness and chalky soil, which contributes to the wine's intense mineral quality. The grapes were meticulously handpicked, carefully placing them into small crates, and then pressed in a pneumatic winepress. After pressing, the juice underwent cold settling for 36 hours under temperature-controlled conditions. Alcoholic fermentation and aging occurred entirely in oak barrels, adding further depth and complexity to the wine. The process included full malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for a duration of 22 months, allowing it to develop and integrate its flavors, resulting in a harmonious and captivating expression. ABV 13%
