The Grand Vin is a prestigious wine made exclusively from 100% Malbec grapes, carefully selected from the oldest vineyards. It represents the three main soil types found in Chambert. The vineyards are cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods. The average age of the vines is around 40 years, and the planting density is 4,500 vines per hectare. The average yield is limited to 25 hectoliters per hectare to ensure concentration of flavors and tannins. The winemaking process involves fermentation with indigenous yeasts in small concrete tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. Gentle extraction techniques are employed to achieve a high-quality tannin profile. Maceration typically lasts around 15 days after fermentation. Malolactic fermentation takes place, followed by aging in 30HL foudres (large oak barrels) for 15 to 18 months. ABV 13%
