The 2018 vintage is distinguished by the purity of its fruit. Notes of blueberry, blackcurrant, and pepper blend harmoniously. The attack is indulgent, followed by a juicy intensity of flavors. A beautiful acidity and fine tannins complete the tasting experience, offering a long and fresh finish. This vintage reveals itself quickly in its youth but also has the potential to age for several years to come. The vineyard covers an area of 41 hectares and is characterized by deep gravel soils. The planting density is 6600 vines per hectare, with an average vine age of 35 years. Harvesting is done manually and mechanically in successive passes. The grapes are then vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine is a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, with an alcohol content of 14% vol. The yield is 38 hectoliters per hectare. Harvesting takes place from September 20th to October 12th. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 15 months in oak barrels, with 30% of them being new.
