100% Nerello Mascalese. The 2020 "Jeudi 15" Rosso is a crimson-hued wine featuring aromas of red cherries, wild raspberries, and delicate white flowers. The palate offers juicy, medium-bodied, and flavorful characteristics, with vibrant red fruit and underlying spice. Fine, austere tannins and a mineral, long finish, typical of volcanic soil wines, complete the profile. Crafted from organically farmed Nerello Mascalese grapes sourced from 80-90 year old bush vine vineyards on Mt Etna's northern slopes. Fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, 70% de-stemmed, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and aged on fine lees in large used oak casks before bottling in May 2020, unfined and unfiltered. ABV 12.5%
