The nose of this wine is fresh, fruity, and aromatic, displaying complexity and a touch of incisiveness. It presents juicy grapefruit, fresh zest, apple, and white flower/apple blossom notes, accompanied by hints of mesocarp, passion fruit, and almond in the background. On the palate, it offers a balanced and elegant experience with a beautiful mineral structure, a slight richness, roundness, juiciness, and energy. There is a pleasing freshness, a delicate and airy quality, and a well-integrated bitterness. Flavors of fresh vine peach, pink grapefruit, zest, mesocarp, salinity, and quenette shine through, along with subtle hints of acacia flowers, passion fruit, and a touch of butter. The Château d'Yquem estate spans 113 hectares, located at an impressive elevation of 80 meters above sea level, providing a unique microclimate that allows for the development of noble rot. The vineyard features limestone and clay soils of various colors. The winemaking process involves precise pressing, temperature-controlled must racking, and alcoholic fermentation in a modern vat room dedicated to this wine. Aging on the lees takes place in barrels, with only one-third being new, and regular stirring (bâtonnage) for ten months. ABV 14%
