Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion boasts a 25.5-hectare vineyard, with 6.4 hectares dedicated to the esteemed Grand Vin. The vines, averaging 41 years in age, thrive in Mindel gravel over a clay-limestone substrate, imparting unique character to the wines. Meticulous hand-picking ensures the selection of top-quality grapes, which undergo a controlled vinification process in various vats. The wine matures for 24 months, with partial malolactic fermentation in barrels. Noteworthy techniques include whole bunch fermentation and cap punching.
