Domaine Alain Graillot

A vital domaine of the Northern Rhone, Alain Graillot sadly passed on in early 2022. He is credited with lifting the reputation of Crozes-Hermitage Syrah to new heights, and his character is held in great esteem across the world of wine. It’s a relatively flat and large appellation on a bedrock of granite, with clay and limestone and alluvial soils to the river, and pre-Graillot, the region was largely unfancied for quality Syrah. His son Maxime (also Domaine des Lises) trained under his father from 2004 and continues the legacy.
