Domaine des Marrans, founded in 1970 by Christian Bernard and today managed by the talents of Mathieu Melinand (husband to better half Pauline Passot of Dm de la Grosse Pierre), has risen to one of top names of Fleurie. Mathieu looks after 15ha of vineyards, predominantly in Cru of Fleurie, deftly crafting fine boned, balanced wines of remarkable purity and minerality lift. It’s hard to resist these in youth, whilst the wines have the clarity to reward cellar time
