The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village is stunning, revealing an extravagant bouquet of rose petals, peonies, warm spices, and cherries. It offers a medium to full-bodied, supple, and satiny palate with succulent acids, silky tannins, and a long, saline finish. This wine is a blend of grapes from 5 different blocks all located at the top of Chambolle’s slopes. The terroir consists of clay and limestone, which provide the mineral characteristic of this appelation. In the cellar, the destemmed grapes are gently placed in the vat without crushing to maintain the integrity of the berries. Cold pre-fermentation occurs for a period of 3 days to a week. Ageing takes place in French oak, 30% of which is new. ABV 13%
