Chambert 2016 represents a new era of excellence with its fruit-forward and elegant character. This vintage marks a significant shift as oak barrels are replaced by larger oak vats. The wine is a blend of vineyards with diverse soils, resulting in a unique expression. The average age of the vines is around 40 years, with a planting density of 4,500 vines per hectare and an average yield of 30 hectoliters per hectare. The vineyards follow organic and biodynamic practices. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in small concrete tanks at controlled temperatures, focusing on gentle extraction and a quality tannin profile. Post-fermentation maceration lasts around 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in 30HL foudres for 12 to 15 months. ABV 13.5%
