100% Chardonnay. Pale straw with green tints. Fragrant aromas of fresh peach, quince and citrus zest with subtle hints of French oak and flint from wild yeast fermentation. Flavours of fresh stone fruit and citrus curd are underpinned by fresh grapefruit acidity and a fine creamy texture. Showing finer restraint than usual this wine will continue to build extra complexity and richness with further time in bottle. Two dry winters and warm, windy spring led to small berries and low yields. Late January rain refreshed the vineyard, shifting to milder temperatures, preserving natural acidity and intense flavor. Eden Valley's undulating high country is home to select vineyards for this blend, using Burgundian clones and indigenous yeasts for complexity. Extended lees contact enhances structure. Around 50% was aged in new and old French barriques for weight and texture, the rest in stainless steel for freshness. The resulting wine showcases richness, tangy acidity, and vibrancy. ABV 13%
