The 2010 d'Yquem displays a pale to medium lemon-gold color, indicating its youthful stage of development. The wine initially appears reserved, revealing delicate aromas of lemon curd, lime cordial, and green mango. Subtle hints of honeysuckle, spice cake, sea spray, beeswax, and gingerbread add complexity. On the palate, the wine truly shines with its incredibly intense and tightly wound layers of citrus, savory notes, and minerals. These flavors are carried by a precise backbone of refreshing acidity, creating a laser-like focus. The finish is remarkable, showcasing persistent flavors that linger on the palate. The Château d'Yquem estate spans 113 hectares, located at an impressive elevation of 80 meters above sea level, providing a unique microclimate that allows for the development of noble rot. The vineyard features limestone and clay soils of various colors. The winemaking process involves precise pressing, temperature-controlled must racking, and alcoholic fermentation in a modern vat room dedicated to this wine. Aging on the lees takes place in barrels, with only one-third being new, and regular stirring (bâtonnage) for ten months. ABV 14%
