Château Guiot is a wine estate of around one hundred hectares located in Saint-Gilles in the heart of the Costières de Nîmes appellation area. Set in a magnificent landscape, the château and its vineyard are bordered by the Petite Camargue to the south and the Alpilles to the east.
The Château Guiot vineyard, planted on rolling hillsides, stretches around Saint-Gilles. The terroir of rounded pebbles, borrowed from the most prestigious Rhône appellations, gives the wines a strong character. The polished stones, laid on a bed of red clay, have the unique property of releasing, at nightfall, a gentle, beneficial warmth accumulated during the day.
The nearby Mediterranean Sea also offers a beneficial microclimate, a natural thermal regulation giving the grapes richness and concentration.
Syrah, Grenache, Marsellan, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon make up the bulk of the grape varieties, noble grape varieties, fine raw materials for producing benchmark wines in Costières and Vin de Pays.
