Beaujolais-Villages Rouge

A jammy Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau with more depth and concentration than your usual. Deep-intensity purple in colour this wine has an aromatic nose of raspberry jam, pureed blueberry, black plum, red cherry, red currant, dried violet petal and blackberry. On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau has medium-plus-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavours suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin. The mid palate oscillates back and forth between raspberry and ripe, red cherry, ultimate completing with a floral, medium-plus finish. At the Domaine, grapes are harvested by hand in order to have the healthiest fruits as possible before starting the wine making process. For reds, skin macerations can last from 6 to 25 days depending on the desired wine. Temperatures and densities of Domaine des Nugues's vats are followed daily with at least one daily tasting of each cuvée. Aged in tanks for 7 months, followed by 12 months in bottles. ABV 13%
