Anjou Cabernet Franc

Les Vins de la Gabare's Cabernet Franc is a vibrant purple-red wine bursting with youthful and aromatic sappy red fruits. It offers a velvety texture on the palate, accompanied by flavors of red cherries and a subtle touch of red pepper. The wine showcases a refreshing acidity, making it a versatile option for food pairing. It can be enjoyed lightly chilled with dishes like salmon, trout, rillettes, rabbit, and pork. The collaboration between Les Caves de Pyrene, Nicolas Reau, and local growers aims to produce excellent value wines from organically-farmed grapes, using natural winemaking practices. The focus is on creating wines that authentically express their terroir. The grapes are manually harvested and crushed immediately after harvest. The wine undergoes wild yeast fermentation without temperature control and ages for six to twelve months in oak barrels. It undergoes full malolactic fermentation and is not filtered or fined, preserving its natural characteristics. ABV13%
