Radiant crimson red, this wine exudes a fruit-forward character underscored by lush, ripe tannins. Red cherries and wild strawberries dominate the enticing aroma. With a dry profile and vibrant acidity, it boasts medium-bodied structure and a mineral essence originating from the volcanic soils. A recent addition from "Vino di Anna," it results from a blend of various micro-vinifications carried out during the 2016 harvest. The organic and biodynamic grapes were hand-harvested from multiple old bush vine vineyards on Mt Etna's northern slope. Each vinification incorporated a field blend of Nerello Mascalese (95%), Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante (Grenache), and a touch of white grapes (Grecanico, Minella, Catarratto). Fermentation methods varied, from oak casks to Qvevri, mastellone, and stainless steel. ABV 14%
