Pinot Noir vines are a rarity in Chouilly, an appellation of Champagne famed for Blanc de Blancs. Yet, Vazart-Coquart own and farm 2ha.
From Pinot Noir, VC vinify a small portion of red wine (5%) to blend alongside old vine Chardonnay (95%) to produce this Brut Rosé. A non-vintage Champagne with 60% from the base vintage and 40% from the perpetual reserve started in 1982.
Classified as Brut, yet with a dosage of just 3.5 g/l, it's a thriller. Lively citrus and red fruits, built on signature VC precision. Just the right palate weight, underpinned by a fine mousse and a little savoury length.
