Champagne Vazart-Coquart

Grower Champagne is a recent addition to our selections at RDI, which will see several exciting young-gun additions in 2024.

The category represents the farmer & the artisan, fine bubbly that better reflects a sense of place & individuality, with an emphasis on viticulture so often overlooked by the mass-produced brands. We took on the recommendation of Peter Ferreira (aka Mr Bubbles) in sourcing Vazart-Coquart, & the wines have been nothing short of a revelation. A big, assured personality in Jean-Pierre Vazart, & one of a handful of producers bottling wines from the Grand Cru of Chouilly. They farm their Chardonnay like Burgundians, working with lower yields of quality fruit, & achieving organic certification in 2017. The real deal among the Grower Champagne category.
