Chénas Chassignol

The 2019 Chénas Chassignol is a stunning wine with a captivating bouquet of raspberries, plums, exotic spices, mint, and orange rind. It is medium to full-bodied, exhibiting layers of flavor and a seamless texture. The fine, powdery tannins and lively acidity contribute to its depth and completeness. The wine concludes with a long and penetrating finish. The vineyards are situated on a beautiful slope of Chénas with granitic soil, larded rock, and quartz. The grapes are harvested manually and cooled before being gently vatted in concrete without any intervention. The maceration period varies depending on the cuvée, and the wine ages in concrete vats, enamelled steel, and old barrels.
