With an array of stylish Syrah's produced at the domaine, it's perhaps surprising to learn that Cuilleron is a catalyst for the reemergence of Viognier in Condrieu. At the time of taking on the domaine, Condrieu was the predominant wine of Cuilleron. He is regarded among the leading lights.
Les Chaillets is our pick of the bunch. From the north of the Condrieu appellation and planted at high density, it shows excellent clarity of varietal, with rich, concentrated fruit, whilst being the most mineral of the bottlings under Cuilleron. These can age incredibly well.
