The vineyards, spanning 168 acres, are planted with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot on gravel, sand, and clay soils. The average age of the vines is 38 years. Notably, Chateau Palmer transitioned to 100% biodynamic farming in 2014 and obtained certification in 2017.
