100% Nerello Mascalese. Crafted in their historic 250-year-old Palmento, this marks the sixth vintage of a distinctive wine from the Mount Etna region. Predominantly Nerello Mascalese, a native Sicilian grape, it yields pale yet robust wines. Aromas of cherry, wild strawberry, and fresh red fruits intermingle with subtle sourness, earthy notes, gentle tannins, and pronounced minerality, culminating in an invigorating experience. Cultivating their own old vine Nerello Mascalese on several hectares, they practice organic farming. The winemaking involves destemming, foot treading, and four-day maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel, used oak casks, and Georgian qvevris. The wine matures on lees for a year and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. ABV 13%
