Very ripe though again reasonably fresh aromas of black cherry coulis and warm earth are trimmed in a mentholated top note. The slightly finer and quite concentrated flavors possess good power while displaying evident warmth though less than the indicated alcohol level would typically suggest. Soil: clay and limestone. Ages of vines: 1982 1986. Ageing for 1 year in barrels (25 % new barrels) then 2 to 4 months in vat. ABV 13%
