Régnié Croix Penet

Nose of red fruits, raisins, plums, liquorice, nutmeg. The palate is ample and fresh on a long finish.Situated in the town whose name it bears, the Régnié cru is a confidential wine. Its name comes from "Villa Réginus", a Roman estate which already cultivated the vine. The Domaine de la Croix Penet faces south, gently sloping, at an average altitude of 340 meters. The granite covered with feldspar crystals gives this wine a strong personality. Harvested manually, the grapes are sorted, partially destemmed, and a traditional vinification follows, over a fortnight with regular punching down "à la bourguignonne". A moderate ageing in barrels then brings roundness and elegance. ABV 13.5%
