Two vintages are on offer with the Clary Ranch vineyard Syrah. It’s a marginal hillside site, exposed to wind and cold, with Arnot-Roberts noting that harvest can often be as late as mid-November and barely yielding 12% vol. In good vintages, the site is capable of soaring Syrah aromatics, fleshy black fruit and salivating acidity. A tale of two vintages.
The grapes were fermented using 100% whole cluster with native yeasts. Aged in neutral, French oak for 11 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. ABV 12%
