Domaine Eric De Suremain

From Monthelie, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, comes the first intake to South Africa for the wines of Eric de Suremain. Château de Monthelie was built in 1746 & has been certified organic & biodynamic since 1996. At the helm are Eric & his wife Dominique, with Eric rarely seen away from the vines & outside of a pair of shorts. Among the characterful line-up of hand grafted, low intervention wines, are a set of single vineyard Pinot Noir expressions from Rully & Monthelie, occupying a unique place on the RDI portfolio. Biodynamic viticultural practices here result in some of the lowest yields of the Côte d’Or.
