Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Réserve des Vieilles Vignes'

Dress with garnet shades tending towards black. Very complex nose of vanilla black cherry, spicy with nuances of game, tobacco and cocoa. On the palate, fruits and spices dominate the liquorice and vanilla notes. The mouth is powerful and very elegant, the silky tannins will allow this very great wine to hold up over time. This exceptional cuvée is produced only in great years. It is a double selection: these are the wines from our oldest vines (75 to more than 100 years old) planted on our best exposed terroirs, for which we choose only the best barrels after a year of ageing. The working of the grapes is identical to that of all the red Châteauneuf-du-Pape produced on the Estate. The aging is more complex: after 12 to 15 months of aging in barrels, one-fifth of which is new, the best barrels are selected and blended. This wine is not filtered before bottling. ABV 14%
