The domaine Sancerre Blanc from Vacheron is a blend of parcels (limestone 45%, flint 45% and 10% marl) and a brilliant entry into the range. A good portion of the wine is sourced from the top single vineyards of Vacheron, which also contribute some wood influence.
The resulting wine has a real ease to it, showing flinty minerality, grapefruit, lemon zest and lightly spiced pepper. On the palate, it's clean and persistent. A classy Sancerre Blanc from Vacheron, setting the precedent for their single vineyard bottlings.
