Beaune Clos Du Roi 1er Cru

Clos du Roi, a premier cru vineyard located in the upper section of the climate, offers a unique combination of freshness, intensity, and concentration. Its brown limestone soils contribute to the wine's distinctive character. The aromatics of this wine are high-toned and lifted, featuring dark fruit, floral notes, and herbal nuances, complemented by mineral undertones and hints of vanilla and spice. Situated in the northern part of the Beaune amphitheater, Clos du Roi benefits from a cooler climate, resulting in wines that are known for their freshness and finesse. The Pinot Noir grapes used for this wine are mostly de-stemmed before undergoing fermentation. The wine is then aged in 50% new Burgundian pièce barrels, adding further complexity and depth to the final product. ABV 14.5
