Les Empreintes is a special vintage Champagne from two vineyard parcels of Laherte in the village of Chavot. These old Chardonnay vines were planted in 1957 on chalky subsoil.
The Pinot Noir was planted in 1983 and sits on fairly deep soil, with a presence of clay, flints and schists over chalky subsoil.
50% Chardonnay (of which 1/3 is Chardonnay muscaté) & 50% Pinot Noir.
Alcoholic fermentation in barrels, with malolactic fermentation prevented. Ageing on the fine lees in bottle.
Dosage 3.5g/l
Very focused on account of no malo, with crystalline fruit and a super fresh, racy feel. Individual and brilliant.
