Champagne Laherte Frères

Based in Chavot-Courcourt, just south of Epernay, the wines of Laherte Frères encompass so many of the dimensions that make Champagne such a dynamic region today. At the helm is Aurélien Laherte, among the most progressive of the young growers of his generation.

Sustainable and regenerative farming in various guises and low-intervention winemaking are some of the signatures at this reference-point address. Each wine has a sense of purpose. Some are explorations of a single grape, others exalt the qualities of small parcels and then there are wines that showcase the principles of blending.

There’s a stylistic thread running through the range. Vinous richness, vitality and transparency, all enhanced by aging in neutral oak, low dosage and smart use of partial malolactic fermentation and bâtonnage.
