Puligny-Montrachet Les Demoiselles 1er Cru

This special Chardonnay plot of 'Les Demoiselles' or 'the young ladies' takes its name from former owners Adèle and Julie Voillot, daughters of a former military general in Beaune at the beginning of the 19th century. The climat sits atop the Puligny-Montrachet slope and this name is used only for the southern part of the plot, with the wider plot also registered under the name 'Les Caillerets'.

'Les Demoiselles' is also used in the adjacent Grand Cru of Chevaliers-Montrachet.

Amiot's is a top example, regularly striking a balance between the richness and refinement.
