Domaine Verzier

Verzier have been on a role with their recent expressions of Saint-Joseph. It’s a long, narrow region stretching some 60km N to S, at best straddling the style of top neighbouring (& more expensive) appellations of scented, fine Cote-Rotie in the north & structured, powerful Cornas to the south. Verzier, in Chavanay, sit to the northern side of the northern Rhone, producing haunting expressions of Syrah, that would embarrass many a Côte-Rôtie.
